Com-Power’s Current Probe and Bulk Current Injection (BCI) Probe Calibration Fixtures are precision-built to match the exact physical and electromagnetic characteristics of the specific probe they are designed for, ensuring proper fit and consistent measurement geometry.
Each fixture provides a controlled 50-ohm coaxial transmission-line environment, which maintains nominal impedance across the full operating frequency range of the installed probe—as required for accurate probe calibration.
The enclosed coaxial structure minimizes reflections and mismatch losses, creating a stable environment necessary for repeatable Coupling Loss and Transfer Impedance (Zₜ) calibrations of current monitoring probes.
For BCI probes, the fixtures enable accurate injection level calibration, establishing the drive-power-to-injection-current relationship required for conducted immunity testing per standards such as MIL-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160, and IEC 61000-4-6.
The fixture design maintains consistent conductor centering, spacing, and shielding around the probe, reducing measurement uncertainty during calibration procedures.
Each calibration fixture is engineered to be fully compatible with specific current probes and BCI probes (see cross-reference table). Although probes and fixtures are sold separately, using the correct combination ensures proper aperture matching, consistent mechanical alignment, and stable frequency performance needed for accurate, repeatable calibration results.
