3x Series Single Phase LISN Overview
The Com-Power 3x Series single phase Line Impedance Stabilization Networks (LISNs) are purpose-built for military, aerospace, and automotive conducted emissions testing. Covering a wide frequency range of 10 kHz to 400 MHz with 5 µH air-core inductors, the 3x Series meets the requirements of RTCA DO-160, FAA, MIL-STD 461, CISPR 25, and CISPR 16-1-2. Three current ratings—25 A, 50 A, and 100 A—accommodate equipment ranging from avionics modules to high-power ground support systems. Each unit ships with individual NIST-traceable calibration data and a three-year warranty.

Key Features Across the 3x Series
- 10 kHz to 400 MHz Frequency Range: Extends well beyond the standard 30 MHz upper limit, covering CISPR 25 automotive bands and MIL-STD 461 requirements up to 400 MHz.
- 5 µH Air-Core Inductors: Lower inductance enables accurate high-frequency impedance stabilization while the air-core design eliminates magnetic saturation across all load currents.
- Multi-Standard Compliance: All models meet RTCA DO-160, FAA, MIL-STD 461 (D/F), CISPR 25, and CISPR 16-1-2—one LISN for both military and commercial testing programs.
- 50 Ω N-Type RF Connector: Standard measurement interface compatible with spectrum analyzers and EMI receivers.
- SUPERCON® Shrouded Connections: Superior Electric SUPERCON shrouded sockets with color-coded plugs for safe, repeatable mains and EUT hookup.
- Individual Calibration: Every unit ships with impedance, phase, and insertion loss data plus a NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
- Three-Year Warranty: All models include a standard three-year manufacturer warranty.
Real-Life Use Cases
| Model |
Typical Use Cases |
LI-325C
(25 A) |
Ideal for avionics line-replaceable units (LRUs), cockpit displays, flight management computers, and automotive ECUs. The compact 5 lb form factor and 25 A rating make it the go-to choice for bench-level DO-160 Section 21 and MIL-STD 461 CE101/CE102 testing of low-to-medium power airborne and vehicular electronics. |
LI-350
(50 A) |
Designed for radar subsystems, military communication equipment, shipboard power electronics, and automotive power converters. The higher 480 VAC / 600 VDC voltage rating supports 400 Hz aircraft power buses and high-voltage DC military platforms. Well suited for MIL-STD 461 and CISPR 25 testing of medium-power defense and automotive systems. |
LI-3100
(100 A) |
Built for high-power ground support equipment, aircraft starter-generators, military vehicle drive systems, large inverters, and EV traction powertrains. With 100 A capacity and forced-air cooling, the LI-3100 handles the most demanding DO-160, MIL-STD 461F, and CISPR 25 test setups. A second unit pair extends coverage to 3-phase power systems. |
Why Choose the 3x Series
The 3x Series is the right choice whenever your product must be tested to military (MIL-STD 461), aerospace (RTCA DO-160 / FAA), or automotive (CISPR 25) conducted emissions standards. The 5 µH inductor and 400 MHz upper frequency limit differentiate these LISNs from the commercial-focused 1x Series (50 µH / 150 kHz–30 MHz) and 2x Series (250 & 50 µH / 9 kHz–30 MHz). Select the LI-325C for bench-level avionics up to 25 A, the LI-350 for mid-power defense and automotive platforms up to 50 A, or the LI-3100 for high-current applications up to 100 A. All three models share the same 5 µH / 10 kHz–400 MHz / multi-standard foundation for consistent measurement methodology across your entire product line.
