BCI & Current Probe Calibration Fixtures

  • BCI & current probe calibration fixtures for CISPR, MIL-STD-461, and RTCA DO-160 — precision 50 Ω coaxial fixtures (FCLC-100, FCLC-400, FCLCE-438, FCLCE-452, FCLCE-1032) for calibrating current monitoring probes and bulk current injection (BCI) probes.
  • Controlled 50 Ω coaxial transmission-line environment — each fixture maintains nominal 50 Ω impedance across the full operating frequency range of the installed probe, the defined reference condition required for accurate probe calibration.
  • Accurate Coupling Loss and Transfer Impedance (Zt) calibration — the enclosed coaxial structure minimizes reflections and mismatch loss, creating the stable environment needed for repeatable transfer impedance calibration of current monitoring probes.
  • BCI probe injection-level (test-level) calibration — for bulk current injection probes, the fixtures establish the drive-power-to-injection-current relationship required for conducted immunity / susceptibility testing per MIL-STD-461, RTCA DO-160, and IEC 61000-4-6.
  • Precision-matched mechanical design for each probe — consistent conductor centering, spacing, and shielding around the installed probe reduce measurement uncertainty during the calibration procedure.
  • Probe-specific aperture matching for reliable results — each fixture is engineered for specific current and BCI probes (see the cross-reference table); the correct probe-fixture combination ensures proper aperture fit, mechanical alignment, and stable frequency performance.
  • Supports traceable, repeatable EMC calibration workflows — the controlled coaxial geometry produces a precise, repeatable reference RF current, making the fixtures essential for in-house and accredited current probe calibration programs.
  • Five fixture models with a three-year warranty — FCLC-100 and FCLC-400 for BCI probes, and FCLCE-438, FCLCE-452, and FCLCE-1032 for current monitoring probes; probes and fixtures are sold separately.

How it works: Each fixture provides an enclosed 50 Ω coaxial transmission line. The probe under calibration clamps around the center conductor while the outer conductor encloses it on all sides, producing a precise, repeatable reference RF current for measuring Coupling Loss and Transfer Impedance.
Probe matching: Fixtures and probes are sold separately. Use the cross-reference table to pair each current monitoring or BCI probe with its matching fixture for correct aperture fit, mechanical alignment, and stable frequency performance. Refer to the datasheet for fixture dimensions and the full cross-reference table.
