Com-Power TEMPEST Line Impedance Stabilization Networks (LISNs)
Com-Power's TEMPEST LISNs are purpose-built for security emanations testing in classified and government environments. Unlike standard commercial LISNs limited to 30 MHz, the TEMPEST series provides extended frequency coverage from 5 kHz to 1 GHz—essential for capturing compromising signals from modern high-speed digital equipment.
The series includes two complementary models:
- LIP-120 (5 kHz – 1 MHz): Low-frequency TEMPEST testing with 1.37 mH inductance
- LIP-1000 (1 MHz – 1 GHz): High-frequency evaluations with 23 µH inductance
Key TEMPEST-Specific Features:
- Air-core inductors prevent magnetic saturation and ensure stable impedance across all operating conditions—critical for repeatable security assessments
- Enhanced isolation (>40 dB) between lines minimizes cross-coupling that could mask compromising signals
- Dual-conductor design optimized for sensitive TEMPEST evaluations
- Unpainted mounting plate for direct earth ground connection, essential due to high leakage current requirements
Each LISN provides 50Ω impedance, handles up to 10A continuous current, supports AC/DC power systems (270 VAC/380 VDC), and ships with NIST-traceable calibration data. ISO 17025 accredited calibration available upon request.
Built for compliance laboratories, SCIFs, military applications, and diplomatic facilities requiring classified TEMPEST certification. Three-year warranty.
